About Us
The Ontario Hunt Camps Association Inc. (OHCA), formerly the Muskoka-Parry Sound Hunt Camps Association, was formed in 1962 in Huntsville, Ontario. Our mandate is to ensure that hunters continue to enjoy the right to hunt. We mainly represent organized hunt camps across the province but accept individual memberships as well. The sport of hunting continues to face challenges that affect the sport in general, and at times its very existence. It is imperative that the voices of the sportspersons be heard as a strong, unified voice. OHCA represents you, the hunting sportsperson, and is a voice that is heard and recognized.

Activities of the OHCA
- Lobbying government as a voice for hunting (members sit on Algonquin Land Claims committees, the Big Game Committee of the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), as well as local citizen's committees of the MNR)
- Supporting natural feeding of deer through feed plots and habitat enhancement
- The OHCA Annual General Meeting held each September
- Bi-annual newsletter (published in the Spring and Fall), The Stand, keeping hunters abreast of government regulations and news in the hunting community
- Participation in various outdoor shows and events, such as the Sundridge Gun Show held every Spring
- Support and promotion of Ontarians’ right to hunt through awareness of hunting issues all year round, and by attracting new camps and new members
The OHCA is a growing organization of hunting sportspersons dedicated to the conservation and betterment of wildlife and the sport of hunting in Ontario.
